About Johnny
How you do anything, is how you do everything…
It’s a bit odd to try and write an ‘about’ section that gives you an idea of who I am.
I’m the son of migrant parents who came to Australia to seek a better life for themselves.
I went to a good school, studied Law and Engineering Science at University whilst completing a Mechanical apprenticeship which launched a 17 year career in the Automotive industry.
Martial arts has been a huge part of my life having started at 5 years of age and using it to get through some tough experiences I’ve had in life.
The podcast project started when a high school friend of mine took his own life 5 days after we had dinner together in 2019.
This in conjunction with having my own children really made me reflect on life, love, relationships, purpose and much more.
I forayed into politics when the world turned upside down during the pandemic and through doing my own martial arts analysis entered the world of combat sports commentary to share technical insights and highlight the development of the Australian martial arts scene and the athletes who put it all on the line to compete.
